Suva kicked off their Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of Giants campaign on a high note after edging Rewa 1-nil last night.

Ravnesh Karan Singh scored Suva’s only goal of the match in the second half. Both teams were tied nil-all at halftime.

Suva coach Maxwell Thaggard says the players worked on their recovery before the tournament which showed positive results for the team. Thaggard says it was important for them to defend the counterattacks from Rewa which they managed to do.

In another match yesterday, Lautoka and Navua ended their match with a 1-all draw. Meanwhile, the Labasa versus Ba and Nadi versus Tailevu/Naitasiri games has been moved to a later date, a day before the semi-final matches. This was due to the power outage that affected Viti Levu yesterday afternoon.

In today's matches, Navua will play Tailevu/Naitasiri at 1pm, Rewa will face Labasa at 3pm, Suva will play Ba at 5pm and host Nadi will take on Ba at 7pm. Stay with us for updates.
