It is a strong possibility that either Suva or Rewa will represent Fiji in the OFC Champions League which may be played in October in Fiji.
Fiji FA’s CEO, Mohammed Yusuf says the Oceania Football Confederation is keen on reducing the competing teams from 16 to 8.
Historically, the league winner and the runner up of a country have been participating in the O-league.
The change means that Suva who are the 2020 league winners and runners-up, Rewa will face-off later this year to decide the winner.
Other regional countries will also have to do the same.
Yusuf adds they are close of securing the hosting rights of the competition.
