Oceania Hospitals Pte Limited is the new owner of the operational assets, staff and business of Suva Private Hospital and the hospital will now be known as MIOT Pacific Hospitals.

This was confirmed by the Managing Director of BSP Life Malakai Naiyaga in a press conference today who says that this is effective from 1st January, 2017.

He says this is a result of a new private hospital partnership between BSP Life and MIOT International through their investment arm, MIOT Investments.

Naiyaga says that BSP Life is always committed to bringing better health care to Fiji and the Pacific region.

Naiyaga adds that the operational assets, staff and business of Suva Private Hospital has been bought for $7 million while an additional $7 million has been used for new equipment and facilities.

He says that they will be bringing in new specialties every month till everything is up and running and this can be expected to be completed in the next six months.

Naiyaga says this will improve Fiji's health care industry.

Meanwhile, Naiyaga confirms that the official launch of the Hospital will be done on the 18th of this month by Attorney General and Minister for Finance Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
