An exciting sports carnival packed with fun activities, food, and community programs will take place this Saturday at Suva Muslim College to raise funds for a school lecture theatre.

Suva Muslim College Teacher Amin Khan says the carnival is organised in conjunction with the Suva Muslim Sports Association, which aims to raise $60,000 to build a modern lecture theatre for the students that will enhance their educational experience.

Khan says the carnival will feature thrilling soccer matches, mixed volleyball, and other sports alongside a range of community awareness programs.

He says for the children, there will be bouncy castles, food stalls, hardware, and clothing vendors.

Khan says in addition to the festivities, there will be a variety of medical services available, which includes free medical screenings, tests for rheumatic heart disease and diabetes checkups, while the Land Transport Authority and Empower Pacific will provide consultation and counselling.

Khans calls on the general public to join in the festivities, where their participation and support will make a significant difference in shaping a brighter future for the students.
