The newly built Flea Market Centre in Suva was partly damaged by a landslide late Sunday night.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Ruci Marama who owns one of the damaged stalls says they are fortunate that no one was there when the landslide occurred.
Marama says this has been happening for the past few months and they had reported it to the authorities but nothing was done.
She says she sees and hears falling stones almost every day and she has always felt unsafe since she moved there.
Marama says her clients' clothes are all damaged and she does not know how to replace them.
Meanwhile stall masters are relocating the stall owners to the old flea market.
