The Suva Bus Stand rehabilitation work has progressed smoothly, with significant milestones achieved since the start of Stage 2, Phase 1 yesterday.

The Suva City Council says all underground drainage works have been successfully completed and looks forward to the next phase, which includes surface drainage and line marking.

They will also continue to monitor the surface drainage works and the preparation for line marking once it is completed.

They say completed works so far include milling, excavation, base course, cement stabilization, base course curing, and asphalt pavement.

The Council also announced that additional security personnel will be stationed at the Suva Bus Station to monitor the movement of people.

They urge the public to follow the signage provided at the bus stand to avoid any inconvenience.
