The Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific semi final clash between the Crusaders and the Blues this weekend will be filled with a lot of histories, records, and bad blood as the two sides will be battling for supreme.

According to Crusaders head coach Scott Robertson, the two teams had a history of playing some great games and he is excited by the prospect of a home semi final against their old foe.

He says it is good and genuine finals footy with a little bit of history from last year that will add a bit of spice to it.

Robertson adds it is going to be a hell of a match.

The Crusaders and the Blues have faced off 42 times since Super Rugby began, and the Crusaders had come away with the W on 32 occasions.

Of the last 18 battles, the Crusaders have won 17.

The Crusaders will host the Blues at 7.05pm Friday in Christchurch.

The second semi final will be between the Brumbies and the Chiefs at 7.05pm Saturday in Hamilton.
