Two Sunwolves Super Rugby matches that was supposed to held in Japan next month have been relocated to Australia due to the coronavirus outbreak in Japan.

This includes the Brumbies and the Sunwolves and the Crusaders and Sunwolves match.

The Brumbies will face the Japanese side in Wollongong on the 6th of March prior to the Waratahs versus Chiefs clash.

Super Rugby CEO Andy Marinos said it was very clear that they had to make changes to the match schedule to conform with Japanese government requirements and health authority.

Marinos says this has enabled them to create a series of double-header matches which they hope will prove popular with rugby fans in Wollongong and Brisbane.

He says they have not decided yet on Sunwolves matches in April and May.
