The one-day National Dialogue titled “Substance Abuse – Let’s Talk About It! Finding a Fijian Solution!” that is being organised by Leadership Fiji with the support of the Ministry of Defence has reached a maximum capacity of 100 registrations in less than a week of its announcement.
Speakers who have confirmed their participation for next Wednesday at the AusAid Lecture Theatre in USP include Saint Giles Hospital, Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, National Substance Abuse Advisory Council, Fiji Police, and Fiji Corrections.
Lieutenant Colonel Josh Wineera, who is the Defence Advisor to Fiji and Tonga from New Zealand will also give a perspective on New Zealand’s drug problem while a reformed drug addict will share their story and experiences.
Leadership Fiji CEO, Sharyne Fong says they are excited about next week’s plenary and the response received from the public who are so eager to be a part of this community to engage in conversation about this serious drug problem facing our society.
