Students whose parents are facing genuine financial challenges are allowed to go to school in any other appropriate dress code apart from their school uniform.
Speaking on behalf of the Permanent Secretary of Education, Deputy Secretary Timoci Bure says they will allow this for three weeks.
Bure says parents can contact the Ministry of Education if they need assistance and the Ministry will direct them to organisations that can offer assistance.
