Strong wind warning remains in force for land areas of Fiji

A strong wind warning remains in force for all land areas of Fiji.

A heavy rain warning also remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and Lau group.

A flood warning remains in force for the low lying areas and small streams in Vanua Levu, Taveuni and Lau Group, low lying areas and areas adjacent to Rewa bridge station and downstream of Nausori Town.

A flood alert remains in force for the low lying areas and the downstream of Navolau station and is now in force for the low lying areas and small streams adjacent to and downstream of Dewala station.

Water level in the Rewa Delta area is receding.

The Tropical Depression was located about 280km south of Kadavu or about 380km south of Suva at 1pm today.

It is moving south‑southeast at 17 km/hr. The associated

trough of low pressure continues to affect some parts of the country.

People can expect periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and Lau Group which will gradually ease to occasional rain with isolated heavy falls from tomorrow.
