Stri Sewa Sabha has contributed $37,277.40 towards purchasing surgical equipment for the Sai Sanjeevani Children's Heart Hospital that is expected to open in the next few months.
Stri Sewa Sabha member, Lalita Sharma says when they got to know about the new children’s Heart hospital their hearts melted and they felt the need to be part of this monumental project.
The Sabha was established in 1934.
Hospital Director, Doctor Krupali Tappoo says the members of Sai Prema Fiji Foundation were delighted to receive the support.
She says this monumental project is going to be the beacon of hope for thousands of children in Fiji and the South Pacific who suffer from Congenital Heart Disease.
