Morne Steyn kicked six penalties as the Bulls beat the Sharks 16-18 at Kings Park in Durban earlier this morning.
The Sharks scored the only try of the match but Steyn’s six penalties proved to be enough to win the match.
Steyn's opening penalty made him Super Rugby's leading point scorer.
Mathematically the Sharks can still reach the play offs but it’s highly unlikely that they will as they have a bye next week followed by difficult clashes against the Blues and Bulls to come.
In other Super Rugby matches played last night the Force beat the Highlanders 19-18, the Cheetahs beat the Southern Kings 34-22, Stormers defeat Reds 20-15, while the Blues beat the Brumbies 20-13.
