The stage is set for the 48th Fiji Biter Marist 7s as elite teams such as the New Zealand 7s, Dominion Brothers, Fire, Fiji Police and Army, who will be gunning to take the trophy this year.
Marist Rugby President Lawrence Tikaram says the preparations have been spot on and they have been working behind the scenes and around the clock.
Tikaram says safety is always a big issue and they are closely monitoring the weather, but all systems are in place to ensure the smooth running of the tournament.
When questioned by fijivillage News if any teams from the flood-prone affected areas have confirmed that they will not attend the tournament due to the adverse weather conditions, Tikaram says that all is well at the moment and no teams have cancelled their participation.
Tikaram stresses that the inclusion of national players rejoining their respective clubs will boost the performances of their clubs as well.
The Marist 7s kicks off tomorrow at 7.30am with the under-21 and women’s category.
