Good news for people as St John Ambulance Fiji will now be able to provide ambulance services in the interiors and remote areas where it could not go before.
This will be made possible as St John Ambulance Fiji has today received its first fully equipped four wheel drive ambulance.
The CEO of St John Ambulance Emma Bavoro says they have two other ambulances however they are not four wheel drives.
The $100,000 plus worth ambulance was donated today to the St John Ambulance Fiji by the Namosi Joint Venture.
The General Manager of Namosi Joint Venture Greg Morris says this ambulance was based at their camps in Namosi and was part of their health and safety programs.
He says they have recently completed their current set of field operations and they decided to hand it over to St John Ambulance Fiji as part of their commitment to community development.
The Patron of St John Fiji Ratu Epeli Nailatikau received the donation this morning.
