The Sai Prema Foundation has announced that it will establish the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Fiji to nurture and empower the brightest minds from Fiji and the Pacific shaping them into tomorrow’s medical pioneers.
Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital Chairman, Sumeet Tappoo highlighted this during the hospital’s second anniversary saying this will herald a new era of excellent healthcare in Fiji, the Pacific and beyond.
Tappoo says the Institute will collaborate hand in hand with the government and it will nurture and empower the brightest minds from Fiji and the Pacific shaping them into tomorrow’s medical pioneers.
He says in due course the Institute will offer free medical scholarships for the students and medical professionals in Fiji and the announcement of this will be made soon.
Tappoo says the Children’s Hospital has just received a Global Bio Risk Advisory Council (GBAC) star rating, which is a testament to their unwavering commitment to infection prevention and control.
He says as part of the Foundation’s commitment to Fiji he announced the establishment of an Infection Prevention Training Centre under the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Fiji.
