Spurs select 7’4” Wembanyama as first pick in NBA draft

The San Antonio Spurs have selected 7’4” tall Point Guard Victor Wembanyama from Montague, France as the first pick in the 2023 NBA draft.

Wembanyama will follow in the footsteps of fellow country man Tony Parker who he idolised growing up.

Even before he steps foot on an NBA court he has already been described by many as a generational talent.

An emotional Wembanyama says he has finally accomplished something he has been dreaming about his whole life.

Wembanyama was joined by his siblings, Oscar who is 15 while sister Eve is an accomplished Basketball player in her own right, plying her trade in Europe.
