South Africa Captain Siya Kolisi has talked about how they are feeling the support from their families and fans at home and around the world as they look forward to defending their Rugby World Cup title this weekend in the final against the All Blacks.
Kolisi revealed how one of the team’s sponsors gifted them a screen at the hotel they are staying in where they could watch their fans sending them good luck messages and well wishes on their World Cup journey.
He says the team knows the whole continent is behind them after watching people expressing how they feel towards the team’s performance and how it has impacted some of their supporters’ lives.
Kolisi says this is something that motivates the team and it is special to see this kind of support.
Kolisi will be looking to be the second captain in history to lift the Webb Ellis Trophy back-to-back when he leads his team out against the All Blacks this weekend.
The only captain to have achieved that feat was former All Blacks captain Richie McCaw who lifted the trophy back in 2011 and in 2015.
The Springboks will take on the All Blacks at 7am Sunday.
Argentina will face England in the 3rd /4th place play-off at 7am Saturday.
