People who are not in South Africa do not understand what winning the Rugby World Cup again means for their country as it is not just about a game on the field.
This was highlighted by South African Captain Siya Kolisi after leading his side to a 12-11 win over the All Blacks in the 2023 Rugby World Cup final this morning.
During the post-match interview, Kolisi says their country has gone through such a lot and the team is bringing their people hope.
Kolisi gave credit to his players and says he was grateful that they managed to pull this win off.
He also gave credit to the All Blacks for taking them to the end and to a dark place in the final.
Kolisi says it just shows what kind of men the All Blacks are to fight with a man down from early in the game and put the Springboks under pressure.
Kolisi has also become the second captain in history to lift the Webb Ellis Trophy back-to-back and also lead his side to a historic 4 RWC titles.
