300 road accidents between 2011 to 2020 were caused by speeding.
This was highlighted by the Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu while opening the Fiji Driving Schools Association Annual General Meeting at Rishikul Sanatan College.
Tudravu says speeding is a worry for the institution and this is why they will need to partner with the Association.
He says from this period, 105 accidents were caused by drunk drivers, 50 were caused by dangerous driving and 23 were caused by careless driving.
He adds from 2014 to 2021, 100 drivers were victims of road fatalities.
The Commissioner urged the Association to teach people well because no one can replace a life.
