The Spanish Women’s soccer team thrashed Zambia 5-nil in their second match of the FIFA Women's World Cup last night at Eden Park, New Zealand.
Spain coach, Jorge Vilda says the team is yet to show their best performance and have four days to improve their game plan before they take on Japan.
The girls had the most possession and made the most out of it by not giving Zambia any chance to score which in the end benefitted the team as they lead Group C.
Spain now has two wins so far after beating Costa Rica 3-nil in their first match.
Spain now leads Group C with 6 points followed by Japan in second position also with 6 points while Costa Rica and Zambia are currently pointless.
In other matches, Japan defeated Costa Rica 2-nil while Canada edged the Irish side 2-1.
