Hoskins Sotutu is definitely a player of interest to Fiji.
These were the words of Fiji Water Flying Fijians Coach, Mick Byrne to fijivillage News when asked about reaching out to the Blues No.8, Sotutu in regards to switching allegiance to Fiji.
Byrne says they also have to talk to Sotutu to find out what he wants to do.
The Flying Fijians Coach says at the moment he is going through the process of checking when Sotutu played his last game and on when he will be eligible.
The 14-cap All Black qualifies for Fiji through his father and England through his mother and, having earned his last cap against Australia in September 2022, qualifies for both next year after a three-year stand-down period.
Sotutu and Sevu Reece scored 12 tries and were tied for top try scorers for the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
The Fiji Water Flying Fijians play Georgia next Saturday before facing the All Blacks at 2.30pm on Saturday 20th July in San Diego.
