Some supermarkets have run out of milk products as people rush to do their last minute Diwali shopping.
President of Fiji Retailers Association Himmat Lodhia confirmed there is a shortage and calls on the distributers to meet the demand.
Meanwhile, Lodhia said the Festival of Lights is the time to renew bonds and make new friends.
Lodhia said that Diwali, which is accompanied by a lot of religious activities including prayers, not only shows gratitude for what we have and for blessings but to ask for forgiveness.
He said this is one time Hindus all around the world should forgive others and forget about their past misfortunes.
