Thousands of people living in parts of elevated residential areas of Nadi and Lautoka City will experience water disruptions from 6pm tomorrow to 6am Monday.

The Water Authority of Fiji will be undertaking the partial planned shutdown to allow for repairs to a major leakage on the high‑pressure water pipeline from the Vaturu Dam to the Nagado Water Treatment Plant.

They say they will be placing water tanks at strategic locations in affected areas.

They will also be using 17 water carting trucks and 6 four wheel drive twin cabs carting 1000 litre water tanks to service inaccessible areas.

People can contact Water Authority on 1507 for any clarifications.
