Some of the street dwellers come on the streets as a family because of the rise in the cost of living.
This was stated by the Founder and Leader of Ahava Project Fiji, Naina Senito who says families are struggling to make ends meet.
Senito says the pay rate for some people is not enough to balance with their expenses.
She says as the leader she has a responsibility to set things in line and she has a passion for it.
She adds she with the others like Thrift for a Change, the Barbers Ministry, Selfless Fiji Women Empowerment Fiji and others who do not wish to be named are trying to help the street dwellers.
Meanwhile the government has allocated $100,000 in the next budget to support vulnerable women and men that are psychologically challenged and are forced to be on the streets due to unacceptance back into their community or families.
