Some passengers on an Air New Zealand flight from Fiji to Auckland have been diagnosed with measles, putting other plane passengers at risk.
Flight NZ53 departed from Nadi at 2pm Friday, and landed in Auckland at 5.40pm.
Auckland Regional Public Health Service Officer of Health, Dr. Maria Poynter says those on board may have been exposed to the virus and should be vigilant for symptoms.
She says it can take 7 to 14 days to start experiencing symptoms and people who have not been immunised are most at risk.
People on the flight are being told to seek medical advice if they are unsure about their immunization status.
