Some children have been seen selling food after school outside some supermarkets after 8pm.

Instead of focusing on their studies, these children are being told by their parents to sell the food parcels.

Fijivillage has been informed that in some cases they do not even have the fare to go back home.

Some are seen in Tamavua after 8pm and have to walk back home to Cunningham and other areas after selling the parcels.

Social Welfare Ministry Permanent Secretary, Dr. Joe Koroivueta said this is a violation of their rights.

Dr. Koroivueta added that action can also be taken against the parents.

He said they will look into the matter however he said all the stakeholders need to work together.
