Passengers have raised concerns after a bus they were travelling in had smoke coming out of its engine in Nadawa at about 6.55 this morning.
One of the passengers told fijivillage News that they noticed smoke coming out of the fuel tank first and had alerted the driver however the driver said it was not a big deal.
The driver stopped and checked, but he insisted that they should continue travelling.
The passengers later noticed that there was smoke also coming out of the engine.
The driver then stopped the bus, and the passengers got out.
Director Traffic Senior Superintendent SSP Mitieli Divuana is calling on drivers to ensure that proper checks are conducted while LTA is yet to respond on this matter.
