Six inmates from the Fiji Corrections Service will be showcasing their artwork at the Grand Pacific Hotel tomorrow night.
This includes one female inmate who will be putting on a display of her unique wardrobe designs.
Fiji Corrections Service Director Rehabilitation, Salote Panapasa says under the guidance of Jim Ricketts, these inmates developed their artistic skills at their Tagimoucia Art Gallery in Korovou.
She says a well known international artist known as Irami Buli has volunteered to assist them in tomorrow night’s programme and they are thankful for his support.
Panapasa says this year’s exhibition will be different as the artist have been exposed to new ideas and also explored new art forms which are in line with the needs of the local market and the current trends.
She says through the programme they hope to assist the inmates in a smooth integration back to society.
The Art Exhibition will be held tomorrow night at the Grand Pacific Hotel and will be open to public viewing from Friday to Sunday.
