NRL club, Parramatta Eels say their star winger Maika Sivo will be ready to commence training from next week after the stop departure order that was earlier issued for Sivo has been lifted by the Nadi Magistrates Court.
The club says they are pleased with the outcome of the court proceedings yesterday and reiterate their respect for the Fijian legal system and its processes.
It is alleged that Sivo indecently assaulted a 26-year-old woman on Boxing Day at one of the hotels in Nadi.
Sivo has also pleaded not guilty to a count of Indecent Assault.
The Nadi Magistrates Court has ordered that Sivo has to surrender his Fijian passport at the Fiji Consulate in Sydney a day after his arrival in Australia.
The trial date is yet to be fixed and Sivo has also been excused for the next court sitting.
