Vodafone Fiji Bati star winger Maika Sivo has denied claims that he will be departing his NRL club Parramatta soon to join England’s Super League Club Leeds Rhinos.
This follows Bulldogs General Manager Phil Gould revealing that Sivo’s time at Parramatta is drawing to a close, and the winger is set to reunite with former coach Brad Arthur in the Super League.
Gould says Sivo is contracted with the Eels until 2027 but has been given permission to seek opportunities elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Sivo and the Bati continue their preparation as they look forward to round 2 of the Pacific Rugby League Bowl Championship this weekend where they will take on the Cook Islands Aitu.
The Bati will need to beat the Cook Islands and hope that the Aitu beat the PNG Kumuls next week to take the Bowl Championship into a decider.
The Bati will take on the Aitu at 8.10pm this Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
