Ratu Filise winger, Sirilo Lala was a standout in the Under 21 competition in the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s as they sealed their place in the quarterfinal with three wins in as many matches.
Lala scored 3 tries on Day 1 and was instrumental in Ratu Filise’s attack.
Lala is named after his uncle and former Flying Fijian Sirilo Lala and wants to follow his uncle’s footsteps and represent Fiji in both 7s and 15s.
Ratu Filise defeated Marist 14-12, Radisson 12-5 and Nabua 14-12 in their pool matches.
Ratu Filise will take on Pacific Warriors in the second quarterfinal while Marist will take on Fire in the first quarterfinal.
In the third quarterfinal, the Dominion Brothers will play Sacred Heart while Tuva take on Radisson in the last quarterfinal.
The quarterfinals start at 5.40pm.
