David Singh has won gold in the senior boys long jump event

David Singh has won gold in the senior boys long jump event.

Singh says he did not expect to win but by the grace of God and support of his family and the school, he achieved it.

He says he did not do well in the Suva Zone 2 competition so it was a challenge for him to step up his game in a short time.

Singh says his parents and three siblings have been his rock throughout his preparation.

He has also thanked his coach and former national rep Eugene Vollmer who has been with them through thick and thin.

Viliame Qerewaqa Augustine from Holy Cross College won silver while Ratu Kadavulevu School’s Varinava Murimuriwaca won the bronze medal.
