Sigatoka businessman, Jay Whyte has been charged with operating a business without a licence.

Chief of Investigations and Intelligence, ACP Henry Brown says following advice from the DPP’s Office, Josephine Trail is charged with one count of operating a commercial boat without a boat masters license and one count of negligent act.

ACP Brown says this is in relation to a case in September, 2014 when a Sigatoka River Safari boat capsized in the Sigatoka River causing injuries to some passengers.

Whyte and Trail have been bailed to appear in the Sigatoka Magistrates Court on the 25th of January, 2016.
