Sigatoka Methodist Secondary Schools has caused the major upset of the day in the under-15 Vodafone Western Zone Super Deans semi final after they beat Natabua High School 15-10 and will take on Cuvu College after Cuvu beat Xavier 24-0 in the first semi final.

Sigatoka Methodist Manager Master Nakune Viriu says it was a tough battle against Natabua and it has enabled them to gauge their weaknesses which they are looking to iron out before their finals clash against Cuvu next week.

He says they will also step up their preparation next week and it will be vigorous.

Viriu says Cuvu has proved that they are a champion side but that will not change a thing from their objective as they will try and create history by winning a title for the school for the first time.

Captain Tai Tiko acknowledged the support from the parents and all the supporters that helped motivate them to play their hearts out today.

In other matches today at Lawaqa Park, Xavier College beat Sabeto College 15-0 in the first semi final of the under-16 grade while Natabua edged Ratu Navula College 13-10 in the second semi final.
