The Lands Ministry is now working hand in hand with the Fiji National University to solve the shortage of surveyors in Fiji.
Lands Ministry Permanent Secretary Maria Matavewa said this has been an ongoing problem where they have faced shortage of registered surveyors and with the new Diploma in Land Surveying program, they are hopeful by 2013 Fiji will have more than enough surveyors.
According to Matavewa, 25 students are currently enrolled in the program at the FNU and they are targeting for another 25 students to enroll in the program this year.
