Prominent Suva lawyer, Shazran Abdul Lateef was told this afternoon to "keep out of trouble" after being granted bail by Suva Magistrate Waleen George in a new alleged possession of illicit drugs case.
Police Prosecutor, Walter Taito objected to bail saying Lateef has other pending cases.
Magistrate George then asked if Lateef has ever absconded bail in the other matters.
Taito said that Lateef has never absconded bail.
Magistrate George has set a bail bond of $200 and also ordered that the accused not to re-offend.
In this new case, Lateef was allegedly found with marijuana and methamphetamine after a raid by Police at a hotel along Robertson Road in Suva.
