The Fijian Elections Office has approved the nomination of independent candidate, Rajendra Prasad Sharma.
The FEO says Sharma becomes the first approved candidate for the 2022 General Election.
The candidate nominations will close at midday 14th November 2022.
Nomination withdrawals can be done by midday 15th November 2022.
Objections and appeals have to be done by 4pm 15th November 2022.
The National Candidates Ball Draw to determine the candidates numbers to go on the ballot paper is scheduled for 18th November or earlier as determined by the FEO.
Postal voting applications are open and will close at 5pm 23rd November 2022.
Pre-poll voting will start on 5th December and end on 9th December.
The media blackout on campaigning commences at 7.30am on 12th December – 48 hours prior to election day.
Election day will be from 7.30am to 6pm on 14th December and all postal votes must be received by 6pm 14th December as well.
