Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre Coordinator Shamima Ali says they are shocked at Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka's stance.

Ali stated this at the vigil for the Israel-Palestine conflict held at their office, raising concerns about Rabuka first calling for peace and negotiations to the next day supporting Israel.

She says how can he not be critical at all of what is happening there.

Ali says they are standing up for people around the world who are suffering.

She says there is a lot of misinformation, misconceptions about Israel and Palestine as most people do not know about the history.

She says it is important for them to put it into perspective as there needs to be enlightenment so people can then make up their own minds.

Ali says this is the beginning of other things that will happen from seminars, rallies and maybe a march for the people of Palestine and the people of Israel as both sides are suffering.
