Permanent Secretary for iTaukei Affairs and Chief Executive Officer for the iTaukei Affairs Board, Meleti Bainimarama has acknowledged the province of Serua for being the first province in Fiji to successfully complete the village profiling exercise.

Bainimarama says now the Province of Serua is embarking on the next phase of the exercise, internal village development plan.

He says that both the village profiling exercise and the internal village development plan are crucial exercises to determine the development needed for the province.

Bainimarama says Government assistance is not biased irrespective of individual affiliations or background but solely based on the urgent need.

He says the government invested $14 million in the Province of Serua last year.
