Serious concerns have been raised about the water source for 35 families living in Waisere Settlement in Naitasiri that maybe contaminated.

It has been noticed by the people that pesticides have been sprayed in the surrounding area of the water source and poses a serious safety risk to the people who rely on this source for cooking, drinking and every day tasks.

Minister for Health Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete has confirmed that Health Inspectors have been alerted.

Waqainabete who is currently in Geneva says that he will be able to comment further once he has received feedback from the Health Inspectors.
