Seeing him come out for the Drua and mature into the captaincy role is really impressive.
Former Flying Fijians prop, Campese Ma’afu highlighted this to commentator Greg Clark about Tevita Ikanivere when asked about which Swire Shipping Fijian Drua players had impressed him so far.
Ma’afu says every week Ikanivere is performing and he has really matured as a player.
He adds this is a young guy that has come through the system and has led the team in the right direction.
Ma’afu fondly remembers Ikanivere as the young man that got off the plane from the U20 World Cup in Nadi and caught the bus to Suva to join the Flying Fijians preparation for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
