Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth Paid Tribute to the late Kobe Bryant at Lakers Game With 'See You Again'
The song already has a bittersweet backstory, but it earned another emotional layer when they performed their duet.
The song has always been a tribute, and it was a fitting choice for the halftime show at the Staples Center as the Lakers played against the Portland Trailblazers in their first game back after losing one of their legends.
Wearing a jacket emblazoned with the team's logo and Nike sneakers in the Lakers' colors of purple and gold, Khalifa was stoic as he and Puth, sat nearby at a piano at half court, eased slowly into a stripped-down arrangement of the song. Images of Bryant scrolled on the screens throughout the arena, which erupted into heartfelt cheers when Khalifa closed with a poignant send-off: "We love you, Kobe."
