A 36-year-old man will front the Nausori Magistrates Court this afternoon for alleged involvement in the bus accident last Wednesday in Lakena which claimed the lives of two students.
The man is the driver of the private vehicle and he was allegedly driving in a dangerous manner which contributed to the bus tumbling down Lakena Number Two hill in Nausori.
He has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death, two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and one count of dangerous driving.
Two other students remain admitted at the CWM Hospital in critical condition. Seventeen other students were also injured.
Police have also charged and produced in the court the driver of the bus which is 45-year-old Salesh Jattan.
Jattan has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death, two counts of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and a count of dangerous driving.
