The search for the two people who are missing at sea is currently on hold due to bad weather.
A report was received at 5 o’clock this morning by Police that three people went out fishing when strong currents caused their boat to overturn just outside the Sigatoka River Mouth.
One of them managed to swim ashore and informed Police while the other two were swept out to open sea.
A team from the Sigatoka Police Station went out to sea to search for the two people but their search came back negative.
Villagers from Korotogo are also part of the search and the Fiji Naval Force has been activated.
