Students of Seaqaqa Primary School now have access to Walesi after Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama officiated at the handing over ceremony of a Walesi set up box and a TV. Bainimarama says as part of the Fijian Government's initiative, Walesi will continue to provide free set up boxes to every household that has a collective income of less than $30,000.
He says in line with the five year and 20 year National Plan to bridge the digital divide for Fijians, Walesi has connected 580 communities, villages and schools across the country.
Bainimarama adds the digital switchover exercise, where broadcasters have ceased their analogue transmission services and switched to Walesi's digital platform, has been successfully completed in Viti Levu.
He says this exercise will commence in the Northern Division on Monday.
