A school teacher, Krishan Kritesh Prasad who teaches Mathematics and Physics at Sacred Heart College for Year 13, also has a passion to pursue his career in art at the University of Fiji.

Prasad is one of the pioneers of the Master Art Class at Uni Fiji.

He says art is a passion that he has had since he was young, and now he is trying to unlock those gifted talents that he has through visual drawing and other graphic design, to showcase his talent.

Acting Minister for iTaukei Affairs Aseri Radrodro says art can be defined as a creation of application through visual forms with human creative imaginations, and creative arts can also come in the form of painting, music, literature, and dance.

Radrodro says this art course will provide reasons for our students who are interested in the culture and art career pathways to pursue a dream job.

He believes the University of Fiji will continue to offer more courses in this area.

Uni Fiji Vice-Chancellor Professor Shaista Shameem says the teaching art gallery is an output listed in their strategic plan for 2022 to 2026.

She says this is probably the most important of all, as they find that artists are constantly evolving the real world that challenges the dealers to transform their understanding of the trans-formative power of art that cannot be underestimated.
