A family in Saweni in Lautoka is frustrated after their 5-year-old daughter nearly ended up under a bus yesterday after the driver intentionally moved the bus and said he was not entitled to be waiting for anyone.

Anaseini Talei told fijivillage News that the accident that happened earlier this week at Cunningham which had resulted in the death of a 13-year-old could have been repeated yesterday.

Talei says while confronting the driver, she asked the driver and said that it's public transport and they are supposed to be providing the service to the public, and the least he could do was just wait.

She claims the driver allegedly threatened her and said that they own the company and they do what they want to do.

The concerned mother says they exchanged words with the driver until he left his seat and allegedly threatened her.

She has raised questions on whether the bus drivers are allowed to do whatever they wish because this is not the first time the same driver has done this.

fijivillage News has raised questions on the actions the Land Transport Authority and Police will take on this issue.

Police and LTA have yet to respond.
