All Blacks loose forward Ardie Savea has once again been named as captain of the Hurricanes.
Speaking to Stuff.co.nz, Savea says he was honoured to lead the Hurricanes during the Super Rugby Pacific season.
He says they are starting the new season in their team bubbles in Queenstown, but they are looking forward to the challenge.
With New Zealand currently under the red traffic light setting, due to COVID-19, all six New Zealand-based teams will be based in Queenstown for at least the first three rounds of the competition.
The Hurricanes will face the Crusaders in their opening Super Rugby Pacific campaign at 6.05pm Saturday.
