Savea temporarily ditches goggles due to them fogging up

All Blacks superstar Ardie Savea has temporarily ditched his goggles because of an issue with them fogging up, but he will persevere in trying to find a solution in training.

The loose forward and self-confessed profuse sweater admitted the heat and humidity of Japan were probably the worst conditions to trying the protective eyewear.

Savea says the goggles were fogging up quite a bit during their match against Namibia so that is the reason why he decided not to wear them during the game.

He says that he will continue to try them out and try and find ways to make them comfortable.

Savea, who donned the goggles to protect his vision after battling with poor vision in one eye, said he would continue working with the manufacturers and the team doctor on improving the goggles.

The All Blacks will face Italy in their last pool game at 4.45 pm this Saturday.

In today's Rugby World Cup matches, Argentina will take on USA at 4.45 pm, Scotland play Russia at 7.15 pm.
